Scott Manwaring, Director of Sales for InHealth Transcription Services, has been a client of mPacts for more than three years. Initially InHealth had a full time staff IT person who was responsible for all of the companies IT needs. “We were growing rapidly and we were faced with the issue of training and hiring more IT employees which meant more salaries, benefits and bonuses.” said Manwaring. Recently InHealth was in the process of installing equipment in a hospital for one of their clients. There was a major system glitch and the mPacts staff dedicated to InHealth immediately called additional systems engineers to consult and expedite a solution in a timely manner. “If we had our own IT person approaching this alone I guess we would have been sorting through manuals.” said Manwaring. Instead InHealth had the whole mPacts team at their disposal.
An unanticipated benefit for InHealth has been the ability to increase the needed support when necessary with out increasing the costs. A standard fee is paid and therefore extra costs for support are not variable. All mPacts IT specialists are certified in technology as engineers and can work on any system which is a great benefit given the large area that encompasses information technology.

Cherico and Platnick are currently working on partnership agreements in south Georgia and western New York. HR and IT people are on staff full time at mPacts in addition to a remote services help desk that is available 24/7 to support clients. “We are growing because there is such a great need. Our goal is to save practices money and give equal or better services than what they currently have.” said Cherico. “I want mPacts to be synonymous with medical IT services.”
